About TAPMI Library
Background: T.A. Pai Management Institute established in 1980 and first batch of PGDM program started in 1984. As an integral part of institute, the library started functioning along with institute with a small collection of about 500 books and 50 periodicals. In 1985, the institute moved to a new independent building including library and other infrastructure. In 1992, the institute expanded with addition of new academic block in its infrastructure, The library moved to first floor of new building (5000 sq. ft.). In 2000, the library was further expanded covering part of ground floor also (7000 sqft]. Finally, in 2009, the institute moved to an independent campus spreading over 42 acres scenic land. The campus has Air-conditioned classrooms, hostels, library, and student centre with installation of state of the art technology. The Knowledge Centre houses Library and Computer/Data Centre.
Since its inception, the library is striving to provide strong academic support by adding quality resources and over the years it has equipped with high quality books, periodicals and other reading materials. Student project reports right from first batch, company annual reports, HBS, Data books, and institute publications are its special collections. CD/DVD collection has grown over the years. Similarly, the library timings also witnessed significant changes from regular 8 hours/day to the current 18 hours/day pattern with opening on holidays too.

The New TAPMI Knowledge Centre [KC]
Dr. Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Dy. Chairman, Planning Commission, Govt of India inaugurated the Knowledge Centre {KC}. The KC is a three-floored centrally Air-Conditioned building comprising library and InfoTech lab. The present library is spread across three floors(GF, FF & basement) having plinth area of about 13,000 sq.ft. The building is Wi-Fi enabled and reading tables (cubicles and GD tables) are fitted with power plug points for charging laptops.
The entry and exit to the library is through Ground Floor. the winding staircase leads to basement and First Floor. The Terrace allows visitors to have panoramic view of the campus and the picturesque scenario around.
